I heard this the other day and I thought it was hilarious. I think the term exists in English, but I’ve never heard it used in everyday speech – usually it’s referred to in specific political discourse.
However, here, referring to a ‘Salami-Taktik‘, or salami tactics is a regular comment, referring to when someone achieves their aim in small increments, slicing off just a little more each time so that no one really notices their big picture.
